A One-Time Response to Recent Misinformation

To the Hendrix Plugins users and supporters,

Recently, there has been a wave of deliberate misinformation and targeted defamation aimed at my professional reputation and my products. I have always preferred to direct my time and energy toward developing tools and supporting users rather than engaging in pointless drama. However, as these false claims now question my professional integrity - accompanied by bad actors impersonating my identity and image to incite hostility, I am releasing this official statement once and for all to set the record straight.

1. Regarding my itch.io account and authorship:

• I have only ever operated a single official itch.io account, established around 2015-2016. The account is in good standing and has never been banned, restricted, or in violation of platform policies. All claims alleging that I was "banned for uploading someone else's assets" are completely fabricated.

2. Regarding source code origins and product quality:

• The core architecture, logic, design concepts, and UI/UX systems of all my plugins are researched, engineered, and built entirely by me. I have never stolen source code from anyone.
• For open-source components (such as specific shader effects), I strictly follow open-source licensing requirements and provide clear, proper attribution within the plugin files.
• Code obfuscation on certain complex plugins is a standard software industry practice applied to safeguard my intellectual property after past instances of unauthorized copying. Simpler concept plugins remain fully open and non-obfuscated.

3. Regarding workflows, tutorials, and tool usage:

• Tutorials and Video Content: Every script, technical guide, screen recording, and edit is written and produced entirely by my own hands. Previously, I utilized translation tools and AI voiceovers during post-production to better reach an international audience (and because I previously lacked confidence in my spoken English). Since April 2026, I have transitioned to recording my own real voice for all main videos, reserving AI voice tools solely for select short-form videos. The scripts, knowledge base, and instructional content are 100% human-authored.
• Development Workflow: I utilize modern tools (including AI) to streamline my development workflow, assist with technical issues, and optimize routine processes - a standard practice across indie and professional studios worldwide. However, no tool replaces the creative vision, logic architecture, system integration, and dedicated problem-solving required to bring a complex project to life. Every system, feature, and user experience in my plugins is designed and engineered under my complete ownership. The good experience you have with my plugins is crafted directly by me.
• High production value in my trailers, visuals, and documentation reflects dedication to my craft and respect for my users, not an attempt to "cover up" technical quality, as some baseless assumptions claim.

4. Regarding user support:

• I consistently strive to assist users as promptly as possible within my active working hours (and frequently outside standard hours as well). The official Discord server remains available to address real technical issues. I always maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive attitude; claims that I have been rude, passive-aggressive, or dismissive toward users are false.

5. Regarding impersonation and channel moderation:

• Malicious actors have recently created fake accounts using my name and personal photos to fabricate statements and stir up hostility. I strongly advise everyone to verify all updates through my official channels and social platforms only and ask the community to refrain from circulating unverified or fabricated screenshots.
• My public platforms are dedicated to technical education and knowledge sharing, not drama. Consequently, bad-faith spam and defamatory comments will be moderated and removed (including the use of keyword filters) to preserve a constructive environment for the community.

 

This is my definitive and final statement regarding these matters. I will not participate in further back-and-forth arguments and will focus 100% of my energy on upcoming projects and updates.
